RECOVERY RESIDENCES
What are the Bridge Street Recovery Residences?
The Bridge Street Recovery Residences is a newly renovated sober living facility in Bennington, New Hampshire.
The primary purpose of our recovery residence is to provide a safe and healthy living environment that initiates and sustains recovery. Recovery is defined as abstinence from alcohol and other non-prescribed drug use and improvement in one’s physical, mental, spiritual, and social wellbeing. Individuals build resources while living in our New Hampshire recovery residence that will continue to support their recovery as they transition to living independently and productively in the community.
Services and amenities include Meals and Provisions, WiFi, Recreational Rooms, Washers and Dryers, 24 Hour Staff, Weekly Recovery, Community Meetings, and access to recovery specialists and support workers daily.
Living in this environment can promote lasting recovery by helping people maintain their sobriety as they adjust to life both during and after treatment. Many people use sober housing to help make the transition from rehab to living independently without using drugs or alcohol.
People who live in our facilities are expected to be responsible for themselves. This is an important step in recovery because addiction causes people to act in irresponsible, dangerous ways, and the friends and families of addicted individuals often enable them by supporting those behaviors without even realizing it.
An important element of our New Hampshire Recovery Residences is the sense of community and the power of unity that comes from multiple people working to achieve spiritual, mental, and emotional growth.
What are the rules of the Recovery Residences?
The primary rule in all recovery residences is that residents must stay sober.
In addition to this rule, people who live in our New Hampshire recovery residence are encouraged to find work or go to school during the day. They must contribute to the home by doing chores. They also must respect other guests, and refrain from any violence. Those who live in our recovery residences are required to follow our guidelines. These rules help residents learn how to be responsible for themselves and their behavior.
No illicit drugs or alcohol are allowed on the premises.
Residents must pay their own appropriate expenses to live in the home.
Residents must participate in household activities, like weekly meetings and regular chores.
Residents must have completed detox and rehabilitation, and need to attend therapy and/or 12-step meetings daily.
Residents agree to participate in randomized drug and alcohol screenings.
Residents are accountable for their whereabouts when they are not on the property.
